Why use herbs, resins and other natural things in spell-casting?

Although there is no scientific explanation for doing so, since ancient times plants, herbs, resins, barks and oils have been used for their innate powers by healers and enchantment seekers alike and centuries later they remain a very potent but mystical means to create desired change.

I believe that the Earth offers us these gifts of her own life-force to enable us to access her natural energies when we focus and ask for things we need. There are very few tools required for effective herb magic with the most sophisticated (and perhaps the most involved) ingredient being your own visualisation and good intentions.

I have a large organic herb garden and harvest, dry and prepare the herbs I grow myself for both culinary and magical purposes. I buy the more diverse magical herbs from a reputable source abroad that I know to be sympathetic to Wiccan ideas and these, too, are organic and hand-crafted.

Using the knowledge I have gained from widespread research and my own natural instincts I have created several blends of herbs, resins and barks so that you can have the perfect recipe for spellbinding success.
