
Fire

Representing the spiritual, Fire is the element that bonds the others together. Forever changeable, Fire can enter the other elements, giving light to inspiration, bringing determination to Earthly pursuits and warmth to the emotions of Water.
Fire acts while Air dreams, Water feels and Earth just simply is. Energetic and passionate about everything Fire people live by their instincts and make natural leaders. Their natural authority shines out and is enlivening, making it easy to see why this element is projective and proactive.

This element, which relates to physical strength and energy, will and change represents the magical practice in Wicca. Ever since the flame was discovered it has been regarded as sacred and is associated with life and health (the candle flame) as well as destruction (the forest fire). It transforms what it touches and help you arrive at the truth.
When you think of Fire, think of the Sun at His zenith, it relates to the height of power, the peak of the day, life and potency and represents the life-blood and root of magical practice, so use its heat and intensity with care.
Fire represents the South and the Mother Goddess. It relates to the future with the time of day associated being Midday. The Full Moon phase is associated with Fire, while the element itself is a masculine one, making it a good choice when dealing with masculine issues. Use Fire magic for action, energy and courage, bringing spontaneity and whole-heartedness to any project you wish to lead with pride.

The Colour Red, Candles, Swords/Knives (other traditions will show the Wand), Volcanoes/Volcanic Lava, Metals of Gold & Brass, Spices of Chilli, Cinnamon, Ginger & Pepper, Insects such as Ladybirds & Bees, Animals such as Lions & big cat in general, Elemental Spirits such as Dragons, Salamanders and the Phoenix.
